issue brief

Despite having EV policies, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh face urban mobility challenges including inadequate charging infrastructure, limited public awareness and adoption of electric vehicles, poor road conditions, insufficient public transportation options, severe air pollution, inequitable access, and inadequate infrastructure, as well as vehicular greenhouse gas emissions contributing to climate change. These challenges hinder the effectiveness of current EV policies. “Harit Safar” is an initiative of The Climate Agenda addressing these issues. In this section, users can find our efforts in the form of publications –

Reports:

Activity Reports are comprehensive documents detailing the findings of various studies and analysis activities conducted during the project. These reports provide an in-depth examination of specific aspects of urban mobility, such as accessibility audits, stakeholder mapping, and GIS analysis. Serving as detailed references for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, these reports support evidence-based planning and interventions, thereby contributing significantly to the project’s objectives.

Journal Articles:

Journal Articles are scholarly articles published in peer-reviewed journals, presenting original research and analysis from our project. These articles contribute to the academic discourse on urban mobility and climate action, enhancing the project’s credibility and disseminating findings to a broader academic audience. By doing so, Journal articles play a significant role in building a robust body of knowledge and fostering academic engagement with the project’s themes.

Infographics and Creative Collaterals:

These infographics help us make information accessible to a wider audience, they enhance the reach and impact of the project’s findings, making them significant tools for public communication.

Fact Sheets:

Activity Fact Sheets provide vital data and statistics on urban mobility in a clear and accessible format. They offer a snapshot of key metrics, including traffic patterns, air quality indices, and Inclusivity-specific mobility issues, enabling stakeholders to quickly understand important data. This facilitates awareness and informed discussions, making Fact Sheets essential for effectively communicating the project’s findings.

Case Studies:

Project-related case studies provide in-depth examinations of specific instances or interventions related to decarbonizing urban mobility projects, highlighting best practices and lessons learned. These case studies serve to illustrate real-world applications and outcomes of urban mobility and climate solutions, offering practical insights and inspiration for similar initiatives in other regions. These case studies are significant for sharing tangible examples of success and encouraging the replication of effective strategies.
