In the vibrant city of Lucknow, a pressing concern affects the lives of countless young girls: inadequate public transportation. The stark reality is that many girls are forced to abandon their education due to the lack of safe, affordable, and reliable transportation options.

A Crisis in Numbers

Lucknow, home to over 4 million residents, has a staggering shortage of public buses. With only 260 buses serving the entire city, the bus-to-population ratio stands at a dismal 0.065 buses per 1,000 people. This is significantly lower than the global standard of 1 bus per 83 people.

The Human Cost

The consequences of this shortage are far-reaching and devastating. Many girls in LuvKush Nagar are compelled to drop out of school after the 12th grade, or even before completing high school. The absence of reliable transportation options forces them to sacrifice their education and future aspirations.
