In Solidarity: A Pride March That Brought Inclusion to the Streets
Understanding everyday sustainability through collective awareness and shared action
Environment challenges can no longer be overlooked, they now influence how people navigate their daily lives. From deteriorating air quality to transport pressure, these issues are now shaping how cities function.
On 11 January 2026 at Shaheed Veer Kunwar Singh Park, more than 30 students came together to engage with these major concerns through discussion, creativity and shared learning.
Conversations focused on pollution control, sustainable mobility, and practical ways to foster environmental consciousness. The focus was on the impact on the environment by limiting private vehicle use and the benefits of walking and cycling.
As the session progressed, creativity became a strong medium of expression. Through a poster making activity, the students translated fresh and innovative ideas into impactful visuals that reflected a sense of responsibility. The experience was further enriched with the addition of a Selfie Booth, which offered a lively medium to share ideas effectively.
The energy continued with the rehearsal of a street play, where the participants prepared to present their insights and reach a wider audience. The performance focused on raising awareness about environmental protection in a way that feels direct and relatable.
The next steps will carry the initiative forward, with posters and performances set to be publicly exhibited, keeping the momentum to raise sensitivity and promote more sustainable choices.
Because awareness only matters when it turns into action.
